GITA Announces Dates for GIS for Oil & Gas Conference


Conference set for September 17-19, 2001 at the JW Marriott in Houston, Texas

December 13, 2000, Aurora, Colo.- The Geospatial Information & Technology Association (GITA), is pleased to announce the dates and location for its tenth annual GIS for Oil & Gas Conference. The event is scheduled for September 17-19, 2001, at the JW Marriott in Houston, Texas. The conference is the only one of its kind, devoted exclusively to GIS applications and technologies for both the upstream and downstream aspects of the oil and gas industry.

The two-and-a-half day conference will include introductory and advanced workshops, a series of paper presentations in two concurrent tracks, and a product and services exhibition. The purpose of the conference is to introduce GIS technology applications to the oil and gas industry. The event drew nearly 600 oil and gas industry professionals.
