Pamet Systems, Inc. Purchases E911 Dispatcher Software From TRAK, Inc.
ACTON, Mass., Jan. 19, 1999 - Pamet Systems, Inc.(NASDAQ
OTC:PAMT), a leading provider of information systems and technologies for public safety, today
announced completion of the asset purchase of Planet One E911 Dispatcher application software from
TRAK, INC of Portland, ME on December 14, 1999. Terms were not disclosed.
Increasingly, Pamet clients are asking to extend the capabilities of their dispatch systems and public
safety analysis tools by adding geographic capabilities. E911 Dispatcher is a geographical map based
application providing real time display of incident information on jurisdictional maps. Dispatchers and
field personnel can locate and view addresses easily. Analysis personnel can use the application to
prepare pin maps that reveal the concentration of crimes, traffic accidents and other events.
E911 Dispatcher has an interface with both Pamet's new NT based and Pamet's broadly installed
VAX/VMS based dispatch, records and analysis applications. In addition, E911 Dispatcher has an
interface to Pamet's mobile system in support of Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) technologies.
"TRAK Inc. has been one of Pamet's application software partners for the past eighteen months and
has assisted in the installation of map based extensions to PoliceServer in six customers," said David
McKay, President & CEO. "We decided to acquire the application and use it as the foundation for our
continued expansion of Pamet's mapping capabilities in the future. We are committed to offering our
clients integrated solutions that allow for one stop superior installation and support. We believe that
having map-based formats for displaying information is a critical component of our Microsoft NT based
product suite," continued McKay.
Incorporated in 1987, Pamet Systems, Inc., designs, develops, installs, and supports computer
software and systems for the public safety market throughout the Eastern United States. The Company's
innovative applications automate the acquisition, storage, processing, retrieval and communication of
information for public safety agencies.
