SKOKIE, Ill., Jan. 19, 2000 - Randmcnally.com, Rand McNally's Internet business unit, today announced its 1999 holiday sales increased nearly 5 times compared to the same period the previous year. Rounding out the top ten selling products on randmcnally.com, in order, are Signature Series Wall Map, Notebook Atlas, Passport World Atlas, TripMaker (R)/Streetfinder (R) 2000 Value Pack and the Cosmopolitan Series U.S. Wall Map.

As part of its renewed focus on shopping online and its effort to provide the best customer service possible, randmcnally.com took several steps to increase ease of use and customer satisfaction. Randmcnally.com moved its fulfillment center from a retail store location to its corporate headquarters to allow online orders to be filled more quickly. To reduce out-of-stock merchandise, the company used its 29 brick-and-mortar travel stores to support inventory in the on-line fulfillment center. Randmcnally.com is accepting returns at all Rand McNally Travel Store locations as well as its online fulfillment center.
