Rebis, Eagle Technology Inc., and Soft Solutions Ltd. Enter Strategic Partnership to Provide an E-Commerce Enabled Enterprise Asset
Management Solution for the Industrial and Facilities Markets
WALNUT CREEK, Calif., Jan. 21, 2000 - Rebis(R), the market leader in
plant design and management software; Eagle Technology Inc., and Soft Solutions Ltd., leading
suppliers of maintenance management software, today have entered into a strategic partnership to offer
a complete web and e-commerce enabled Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solution for the
industrial manufacturing and facilities markets.
The alliance will provide Enterprise Asset Management over the entire facility's lifecycle, including
computer aided engineering and design (CAE/CAD), computer aided construction (CAC), and
computerized maintenance and management services (CMMS). EAM provides a framework to support
these services anytime and anywhere through LAN and web-based deployment. The focus of the
alliance is to add e-commerce functionality to the companies' EAM solutions to support searching and
requisitioning of components and associated materials, and to provide EAM as an application service
(ASP). The alliance has provided software and consulting services for over 10,000 companies in 80
countries that are serviced by over 250 resellers and integrators.
"Rebis' strong product offering and vast experience in the plant design and asset management area
will be significantly expanded by partnering with Eagle Technology's and Soft Solutions' CMMS
systems," says Jeff Hollings, President and CEO of Rebis, "providing an immense opportunity for all
three companies in the e-commerce and ASP arena. We are extremely excited to be a part of this."
According to Mr. Harshad Shah, President of Eagle Technology, "A strategic partnership with Rebis
and Soft Solutions will allow Eagle to offer a complete solution to its customers within small, medium
and large facilities on a worldwide basis while at the same time leveraging technologies to offer
e-commerce and provide an ASP solution to rent applications to the market."
Geoff Edwards of Soft Solutions Ltd. says, "Increased competition at all levels for all companies
means that the focus on critical asset performance will continue to intensify. For the first time, this
alliance creates the opportunity for an integrated "best of breed" product line that can service that
demand from conception to obsolescence. In the context of e-commerce operations this is a
ground-breaking move forward and we are thrilled to be a part of it."
