SpatialDirect(TM) plug-in adds data extraction and delivery to
ArcIMS
Allows data to be retrieved to the desktop in user specified data format
and projection
San Diego, CA - ESRI User Conference, Booth 614 - Safe
Software announces that it has developed a data extraction plug-in for
ESRI's ArcIMS web mapping software. The plug-in, called SpatialDirect for
ArcIMS, allows data to be retrieved to the desktop in user specified data
formats and projections.
"This solution will be very interesting to organizations with multi-vendor
solutions that need to offer users data in different data formats," said Don
Murray, president of Safe Software Inc. "We see SpatialDirect emerging as an
industry standard for multi-format data distribution via the web," he added.
More about SpatialDirect for ArcIMS
SpatialDirect for ArcIMS enables ArcIMS to distribute data to users in
real-time over the Internet/intranets. Once the user has identified the
data they need using ArcIMS, they invoke SpatialDirect which prompts them to
select their desired data format and projection. The data is then extracted
and sent to the end user's requested location in the data format and
projection they requested, ready for use.
Over 50 GIS, CAD and database formats are supported including: DGN, DTED,
DXF, DWG, GenaMap, MIF/MID, MGE, NTF, NTX, SDTS, TAB, TIGER, OGDI, Oracle 8i
Spatial, Spatialware, and S-57.
SpatialDirect for ArcIMS is available now through ESRI USA, ESRI resellers,
other Safe Software resellers and direct from Safe Software, Inc. A free
evaluation version of the software is available by contacting Safe Software
Inc.
