by focusing entirely on the Internet, Wireless and GPS aspects of the business. The new
online suite of products introduced by Eartha Systems offers high-speed network mapping
for use on the Internet or on corporate Intranets. There are three products in the Eartha

the Eartha Systems site and allows customers to customize the Web site using their
own data
Eartha Enterprise, a robust mapping service hosted by individual companies
allowing full access and customization of all mapping services
“The Eartha Systems Internet suite of products comprise a natural extension of
DeLorme’s expertise in paper and software publishing, and position us to compete in the
online mapping business-to-business space with flexible and affordable solutions,” says
Gordon Pow, DeLorme President and COO. “Future developments in wireless and GPS
technologies will extend our Internet mapping capabilities in powerful new ways for
businesses large and small.”
EarthaMaps, the first product introduced by Eartha Systems, provides free
street-level maps and trip routing for any location in the US and replaces DeLorme’s
former online service, CyberRouter®. Features of the system include the ability to create
door-to-door routes, display a text travel itinerary for a route and e-mail or print the
generated map and text directions.
Eartha Entrepreneur is designed for the needs of start-up businesses and
SOHO’s (Small Offices/Home Offices). This mapping system is hosted at an Eartha
Systems site and provides customers the ability to customize the Web site and online
maps by displaying their personal or company banner on the Web pages. Customers can
add up to 10,000 locations to the map, and each location can be identified using one of
the fifteen predefined Eartha Systems symbols, or one of five custom symbols designed
by the customer.
Eartha Enterprise, which is hosted at the customer’s site, provides all the
functionality of the Eartha Entrepreneur package and includes the ability to add an
unlimited number of locations or custom symbols in their mapping database.
Add-on modules such as The Enterprise Travel Package, The Enterprise Database
Module, The Enterprise Java Applet and the Enterprise WAP Module will also be
available for the package.
Customers opting for the Eartha Enterprise software support package also receive
the NetCore SDK documentation, which allows them to modify the current Eartha
Entrepreneur Web site using full API access to the Eartha Systems NetCore multi-
threaded libraries.
Building on DeLorme’s 25 years of expertise in mapping and digital technologies,
Eartha Systems offers high-speed interactive mapping for use on the Internet or on
corporate Intranets and provides a new generation of products for ASP and broadband
markets. Services provided by the company include location technologies for WAP-
enabled cell phones and Palm OS handhelds. Eartha Systems customers and partners
include ASPs, wireless mobile solution providers and technology leaders including Palm,
Kodak, Time Warner Cable, cMeRun, WireTrak and Discrete Wireless. Additional
