HandyGPS Version 1.6 To Begin Shipping in November

LA JOLLA, Calif., Nov. 21, 2000--Nexian Inc. the innovative leader in the mobile communications industry, announced the release of the HandyGPS version 1.6 for the Handspring Visor.

This module will begin shipping through the Nexian Web site (www.nexian.com) and distribution channels such as PalmGear and Amazon in November.

Unlike the existing bulky GPS products on the market, HandyGPS is compact in size and is the first of its kind hand-held GPS (Global Positioning System) receiver that fits into the Springboard expansion slot. The HandyGPS gives the exact time, date, position, and bearing. It also includes a navigation mode, which displays your position and traces it on the handheld screen in a graphic. This GPS system includes UbiGo mapping software, which has precise U.S. street-level maps. The package is helpful for when traveling to a new city, verifying directions, and for finding exact coordinates.

Dr. Hwan Woo Chung, president of Nexian Inc. commented, "The versatility of the Handspring Visor provides the greatest potential in the market place and to the end user. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to provide a GPS solution for the handheld market, specifically Handspring's Springboard expansion platform."

Ed Colligan, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Handspring, said, "It's great to see Nexian deliver a global positioning product like the HandyGPS to Visor customers who have been eagerly anticipating this added Springboard functionality for some time."
