RTSE USA, INC. ANNOUNCES SMMS FOR GEOMEDIA Two new products available to help integrate and manage spatial databases and metadata

REDMOND, WA, - November 15 - Redmond-based software and Web developer RTSe USA, Inc. (www.rtseusa.com ), announced today the release of Version 3.2 of “SMMS” (Spatial Metadata Management System) and “SMMS for GeoMedia”. SMMS is the leading commercial tool for creating, querying, and distributing standards-compliant metadata in the U.S. and abroad. This most current version of SMMS is groundbreaking in its ability to integrate its full line of robust features with Intergraph Corporations’ GeoMedia 4 product family. Version 3.2 achieves all of the functionality of SMMS, plus data association and extraction for more than a dozen spatial data formats and graphic image types supported by Intergraph’s GeoMedia 4 technology.

Both SMMS products incorporate Intergraph’s advanced GeoMedia 4 object technology to integrate metadata directly with the spatial information they describe. Both products include new features important to users, including:

- the ability to import FGDC compliant XML files,
- enhanced speed in capturing bounding coordinates, and
- compatibility with all Microsoft operating systems.

SMMS product manager Bruce Westcott stated, “These two products are our latest offerings in the suite that comprises our GeoConnect strategy. For years SMMS has empowered users to create spatial metadata; our new products move another step forward in helping them integrate metadata with their spatial assets, and deploy the information across the Web. RTSe offerings help our customers to maximize the business and strategic value of metadata to their customers by making it accessible for discovery, query, and integration with GIS data on the web.”

Information about the Spatial Metadata Management System V3.2 is available on the Web at www.rtseusa.com/enter/smms. Information about the GeoConnect Geodata Management Server is available on the Web at www.rtseusa.com/enter/geoconnect.
