Space Imaging Eurasia to Access and Sell Imagery from IKONOS Satellite

Space Imaging Signs Regional Affiliate in Turkey

DENVER, Colo., Nov. 21, 2000 - Space Imaging announced today the signing of a contract with Turkey's Inta Space Systems Inc., a subsidiary of Cukurova Holdings, for the formation of a new commercial Regional Affiliate, Space Imaging Eurasia. As a Regional Affiliate, Space Imaging Eurasia will have the ability to collect and sell Earth imagery from the IKONOS satellite and sell other Space Imaging CARTERRA(tm) products. Owned by Space Imaging, IKONOS is the world's first and only commercially available high-resolution imaging satellite. Space Imaging Eurasia is based in Ankara, Turkey.

The formation of Space Imaging Eurasia represents the latest step forward in the development of a global network of commercial companies dedicated to supplying high-resolution Earth imagery and information products to customers.

"We are very excited about the addition of Space Imaging Eurasia to our Regional Affiliate network. Inta is a great partner and we are proud they chose Space Imaging over the competition," said John Copple, Space Imaging's chief executive officer. "The capabilities of the IKONOS system are truly revolutionary to this industry. The demand for IKONOS imagery from a diverse range of government and commercial clients around the world will provide Inta a significant return on its investment."

"Space Imaging Eurasia will sell state-of-the-art imagery products of our Earth's most sensitive and dynamic region," said Mehmet Sepil, chief executive officer of the board of Inta. "We will be able to task the IKONOS satellite directly from our ground station in Ankara, which will enable our customers to get imagery with the shortest delivery time and with the highest confidence and quality. Our national and international network of resellers will be dedicated to serving customers in this important region of the world."

Markets that will benefit from the one-meter resolution of the IKONOS system include urban planning, telecommunications, national security, mapping, infrastructure planning, disaster assessment, agriculture and forestry.

"We are aggressively building our world-wide network of commercial Regional Affiliates," said Conrad Mueller, vice president of international sales and marketing.
