@Track Communications, Inc. to Equip Mesilla
Valley's Entire Fleet With TrackWare Trailer-Tracking Solution to Drive Greater Fleet Efficiency
RICHARDSON, Texas, Oct. 5, 2000--@Track Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq:ATRK), a leading provider of
wireless-based vehicle fleet management and intelligent mobile asset-tracking solutions, today announced that Mesilla Valley Transportation
Services, Inc. has contracted for 700 TrackWare(TM) Remote Units (TRU's) and a three-year service agreement for @Track's
untethered trailer-tracking solution.
The easy-to-install TRU's can be attached to the exterior or interior of a trailer by one person in as little as 30 minutes, with no special
tools required. The units are powered by a rechargeable battery and can continue operating while untethered for 30 to 60 days and
automatically recharge when connected to a tractor. Each TRU can be configured to report the trailer's location up to four times every 24
hours. In addition, it can also report the trailer's location when it is connected or disconnected, loaded or unloaded and when the door
opens or closes.
