Earth Resource Mapping files for summary judgment in
compression lawsuit
San Diego, CA - 12 October 2000
Earth Resource Mapping today filed a motion for partial summary judgment that the '835 patent is
not infringed with the United States District Court, Western District of Washington at Seattle
The partial summary judgment requests a ruling from the Court in the patent infringement portion of
the action initiated by LizardTech in October, 1999. A ruling on this motion is anticipated by the
end of the year.
In related news, the United States Patent and Trademark Office issued a Notice of Allowance
approving the disputed ECW Compression Technology for a U.S. patent. Additional details
