Intergraph Public Safety Selected by Westmoreland County;
Advanced Technology to Manage Emergencies

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., April 20, 2001--Intergraph Public Safety (IPS)(NASDAQ:INGR) has been selected by
Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, to provide a multi-agency computer aided dispatch (CAD) system for law enforcement, fire, and
emergency medical services (EMS). The contract award is valued at $1.7 million.
Covering more than 1,068 square miles and serving approximately 375,000 people, Westmoreland County receives more than 275,000 calls
for service a year. The new CAD system will support 117 fire departments, 36 law enforcement agencies, 30 EMS units, emergency
management for 65 municipalities, HAZMAT response, county detective, county coroner, children's bureau, county park police, and county
sheriff.
"The Board of Commissioners of Westmoreland County are committed to providing the best 9-1-1/Emergency Management Service for the
residents of our County and their visitors, and with the newly formed partnership with IPS, we feel it will distinguish us as a leader in the Public
Safety sector. With the completion of a $2 million communications center, 21 position console system, and a 21 position phone system, the IPS
CAD solution is the final piece of the puzzle to complete the state-of-the-art communications center," said Mark D. Brammell, chief of support
