Direct Sales of Paradigm's New Destinator Product Exceeds 1,000 Units

TORONTO, Aug 22, 2001 - Paradigm Advanced Technologies, Inc., (OTCBB:PRAV) confirmed today that the orders for its Destinator(TM) GPS-based navigation system product have well exceeded 1,000 units in less than 30 days of the initial launch of the product.

These direct sales have been part of the Company's pre-marketing launch Internet pilot program. The Company indicated it is extremely encouraged by initial demand for the product especially because most of the sales occurred prior to the recent string of impressive reviews of the Destinator(TM) product.

The initial response to introduction of the product and demand generated through the Internet only ( www.destinator1.com) and RACO Industries' website ( www.trackmyvehicle.com) has exceeded management's expectations. The Company expects sales of the product will quickly accelerate as additional channels are utilized to sell the product.

The Destinator(TM) navigation system product provides navigation assistance to travelers throughout North America. The Destinator(TM) product allows the users to effortlessly navigate by providing real-time turn-by-turn voice instructions in either English, French or Spanish that guide the user to his or her destination without the distraction of having to glance at the Destinator's map readout. Visual guidance is also available in real-time on dynamically updated maps of the area. The Destinator's(TM) GPS unit keeps up with the user's changing speeds and varied terrain while continuously maintaining the system's accuracy to within 30 feet.

In addition, when Paradigm releases the upgraded version of the Destinator(TM) navigation system, the Company expects to provide additional features such as RouteUSA(TM) that will enable seamless navigation from coast to coast, an extensive points of interest database and other features. Paradigm will also be including a Western European version of Destinator navigation system in its product offerings in the very near future.

"We are extremely pleased with the initial success that the Destinator(TM) has generated to date," said Eduardo Guendelman, Paradigm's President and CEO. "It is quickly becoming an essential and cost-effective accessory for many travelers who want to be able to navigate around new or unknown areas. We anticipate that sales of the product will accelerate rapidly as we increase our marketing focus."
