Laser-Scan and Snowflake Software have signed a partnership agreement to
develop opportunities opened up by the recent launch of Ordnance Survey's
new OS MasterMapT product.
This technology partnership will allow Snowflake and Laser-Scan to work
together in the pursuit of complementary solutions; it is anticipated that
Laser-Scan's advanced database technology coupled with Snowflake's
innovative client-side technology will lead to valuable solutions.
Steven Ramage, newly appointed head of Third Party Channel Development at
Laser-Scan says:
"This is fantastic news because it brings together two companies who have an
in-depth understanding of Ordnance Survey and its products, notably OS
MasterMapT. Snowflake has the experience and expertise to really help
Laser-Scan make a difference for any customers with an OS MasterMapT
requirement.
I also believe this has been made possible by Laser-Scan's dedication to
developing and building its core technology and products through
industry-wide standards, such as Java, XML and GML. We look forward to a
long and fruitful technology partnership with Snowflake Software."
Snowflake Software have recently launched their own OS MasterMapT viewer to
coincide with the launch of Ordnance Survey's latest flagship product.
Written entirely in Java, and deployed using the latest technology from Sun
Microsystems, Snowflake's OS MasterMapT viewer is packed with advanced
functionality to help customers make the most of their OS MasterMapT data.
Eddie Curtis, director of Snowflake Software says:
"We're very happy to work with such an established key player as Laser-Scan.
Our innovative Java products, alongside their proven experience in
delivering large-scale databases make them a perfect partner for working
with OS MasterMapT.
