Earth Search Sciences Collects Images in Florida Over Citrus Groves and the Everglades

KALISPELL, Mont., Jan. 30, 2001--Earth Search Sciences, Inc. (ESSI)(OTCBB:EDIS - news), (http://www.earthsearch.com), today announced that Eco Probe, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of Earth Search Sciences, Inc., has flown over parts of the Florida Everglades in an effort to identify weed species which are overrunning the park.

``Two years ago, in conjunction with the Boeing Company, we identified one napweed plant standing alone in Southern Montana on Ted Turner's ranch. Napweed is a non-indigenous species of weed that is engulfing the West at a rate of 4000 acres per day. We also identified noxious weed habitat during the same collection. We believe we can make a contribution to the park by locating the species of weeds the park service needs to eradicate,'' said Chuck Eubank, CEO of Eco Probe. ``We will know more after the processing of the imagery is completed.''

Eco Probe is dedicated to applying ESSI's technology in the environmental and agricultural fields. Eco Probe will market its services on a global basis using the state of the art Probe 1 to collect imagery. Data will be marketed to a variety of clients including both public and private entities.

Applications for this kind of data include environmental monitoring of both land and aquatic habitat for chemical and biological detection, species identification regarding invasive plant life, watershed monitoring and agricultural monitoring.

``If we intend to micro manage our environment, we will need detailed information on a micro level,'' said Chuck Eubank. ``This kind of information collected on a regular basis will help us to build a base line for monitoring our environment and to build an archive for future reference necessary to measure our progress. Governments and private companies will need to purchase this type of information as a regular part of their every day business in order to meet their obligations as stewards of the planet.''
