The Sanborn Map Company Opens Sales Office, Names New Regional Manager


Pelham, NY- Sanborn Map Company CEO Pankaj Desai today announced the company has opened a regional sales office in Tennessee. James Soto has been named Southeastern regional manager for Sanborn and will run the company’s new office.

Soto, who is based in Nashville, is responsible for servicing existing accounts and developing new business in Tennessee, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Missouri, southern Virginia and the Carolinas.

Desai remarked, “Since we opened our doors more than 130 years ago, Sanborn has been committed to providing quality products backed by superior service. As our business grows, we are adding more staff to support that growth. Our new office in Nashville, and the appointment of James Soto, who has nearly a decade of experience in the mapping and GIS industry, will allow us to better serve our customers in the Southeast.”

Prior to this appointment, Soto, a graduate of the University of Connecticut, had been director of corporate sales for a GIS company based in Tennessee.
