MapViewerTM 4 - Revolutions in Thematic Map Making

GOLDEN, COLORADO - Golden Software, Inc. announces the release of MapViewerTM version 4, a thematic map making software package that creates professional quality maps. MapViewer 4 can produce color prism, hatch, pie, symbol, pin and many other map types. Sophisticated new features distinguish MapViewer 4 from previous versions of MapViewer and other mapping software.

Three new map types have been added to MapViewer 4 as well as the ability to assign classes to the pin map. MapViewer 4 supports a full projection library, including over 25 projections and 200 datums. Three new organization managers allow the user to easily view and edit all object and layer properties. One Beta Tester said, “I don't know how I did without the new manager tools. I can immediately modify the features of any object or map. They are an excellent addition.”

MapViewer 4 supports queries for all map types with any data file type. Distances between user-located points or the Primary ID locations can be easily calculated in MapViewer 4. Territories can be defined by tracing existing boundaries, drawing completely new boundaries, or importing boundaries in widely used geographic formats. MapViewer 4 comes with numerous boundary files including 5-digit ZIP codes, 3- digit ZIP codes, all continents, countries, and US states and counties.

MapViewer is a 32-bit double precision program and operates under Windows 95/98/ME/2000/NT 4.0 SP3 and higher with a minimum of 12 MB RAM and 22 MB hard disk space. The retail price of MapViewer 4 is US$249. The upgrade price from any previous version of MapViewer is US$79. For more information and a free demo version of MapViewer 4, visit Golden Software’s web page at www.goldensoftware.com, email info@goldensoftware.com, or call 800-972-1021.
