i-cubed announces new pricing for its Instant Imagery product series featuring ImageMap USA, the
Landsat 7 mosaic of the conterminous United States
Fort Collins, Colorado - i-cubed has announced new pricing for its Instant Imagery product series featuring
ImageMap USA, the seamless Landsat 7 mosaic of the conterminous United States. The Instant Imagery series
also includes eDEM USA (enhanced digital elevation models) and eTOPO USA (enhanced digital raster
graphics).
"The restructuring of Instant Imagery's pricing will make it easier and more cost effective for GIS and visual
simulation professionals to add crucial data layers to their application, whether it is at a local or national scale."
explains Russ Cowart, President of i-cubed. "This suite is ideal for anyone looking for an instantly available,
complete, cost effective coverage for their project area."
The flagship product within the Instant Imagery series is ImageMap USA, a seamless, orthorectified Landsat 7
mosaic at 15-meter resolution. Constructed from over 450 Landsat 7 scenes collected between 1999 and 2001,
ImageMap USA allows users to select a custom area of interest without having to worry about edge matching or
color balancing problems. Visitors to i-cubed's website are able to download sample imagery from ImageMap
USA's database to test it out in their own application.

In addition to constantly updating the content of ImageMap USA with new imagery, what sets i-cubed apart from
its competitors is availability of the mosaic in a hill-shaded version. This option uses eDEM USA to bring out
terrain features that are not evident in the original imagery. "This feature adds value to any project by providing
stunning visual context and appeal," says Robert Keith, Product Manager for Instant Imagery, "It offers a
perspective that regular satellite imagery simply cannot."
eDEM USA compliments ImageMap USA by providing comprehensive seamless terrain data of the
conterminous United States. Initially developed for the demanding telecom markets, this product was created by
taking USGS DEMs and processing them to eliminate inherent problems such as edge matching and striping
artifacts.
eTOPO USA is derived from Digital Raster Graphics (DRGs) that are scanned images of USGS paper
topographic maps. Scanned at 250 dpi, the collarless sheets were converted to common datum and projection
creating a seamless map mosaic of the conterminous United States. The eTOPO product is bundled to include
map scales of 1;24,000, 1:100,000 and 1:250,000.
i-cubed is also offering the original source imagery from ImageMap USA at steep discounts. Landsat 7 scenes
from 1999 to 2001 can be acquired at many levels of processing, from the raw data to orthorectified and
mosaiced images. Competitive pricing is also offered on Landsat imagery of any vintage.
