www.imagelinks.com
LONGMONT, Colorado, October 25, 2001, DigitalGlobe announced today the formation of a strategic partnership with ImageLinks which will allow the companies' mutual customers to fully leverage the world's highest resolution commercially available imagery via the ImageLinks Active Archive(tm). DigitalGlobe recently licensed the QuickBird sensor model to ImageLinks to allow the development of a QuickBird Sensor Model for the ImageLinks Production Software and Active Archive(tm) product offering.
DigitalGlobe successfully launched the QuickBird satellite on October 18, 2001. After a verification and calibration period, QuickBird will offer 61-centimeter panchromatic and 2.44-meter multispectral imagery worldwide.
The ImageLinks' Active Archive(tm) is a revolutionary image delivery system that allows the end-user to define and produce custom geo-spatial products on demand. The Active Archive(tm) allows users to interactively build and download directly into their applications geo-spatial data sets by defining areas of interest, selecting product templates, and directly controlling production parameters.
"ImageLinks and Active Archive(tm) provide powerful tools that support large-scale storage, processing and the ability to merge multiple data sets together for specific applications," stated Joe Thurgood, Vice President of Marketing at DigitalGlobe. "This partnership will allow users making decisions based on imagery to quickly and easily incorporate QuickBird Imagery into decision support products or tools."
"We are very excited about working closely with DigitalGlobe," said Tom Groom, ImageLinks Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing. "Customers for both companies will realize significant value with the higher resolution imagery made possible by DigitalGlobe and fully customized products delivered immediately to the user's desktop via the ImageLinks Active Archive(tm)."
DigitalGlobe is an imagery and information company located in Longmont, Colorado. DigitalGlobe's QuickBird satellite has the industry leading capability to provide basic imagery at 61-centimeter panchromatic and 2.44-meter multispectral resolutions.
