The OpenOSX Pre 2 CD offers Mac OS 10.0.x through 10.1 compatibility (including dual-processors), additional modules, along with bug fixes.
With over 350 modules, Grass is the only real alternative to ArcView GIS, which fully-configured will cost more than US$20,000 and is not supported on the Macintosh (MAC) platform.
Grass GIS offers users state of the art three-dimensional dynamic spatial analysis and visualization. Prominent users of Grass include NASA, USGS (U.S. Geological Survey) and NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) to name a few.
The OpenOSX CD greatly simplifies installation and installs a long list of all the required libraries and programs for full functionality. The CD is bundled with complete documentation and limited installation support. The following preograms are installed and fully configured for Mac OS X:
