Call for Entries Reminder for Intergraph's Awards for Cartographic Excellence

    HUNTSVILLE, Ala., April 5, 2002 - The Intergraph GeoSpatial Users Community (IGUC) and Intergraph Mapping and GIS Solutions invite all cartography and map production professionals as well as students who use Intergraph mapping and GIS software to participate in the first annual Awards for Cartographic Excellence program. Entries will be judged on their professional excellence in design, technique, aesthetics, innovation, communication, and presentation. There is no entry fee to participate. For complete competition guidelines and an entry form, visit www.intergraph.com/awards . Deadline is May 1, 2002 for the following categories:

    -- Category I, Static Cartographic Maps - Topographic, reference, planimetric, composite, and specialized theme submissions. For example, traditional maps such as atlas maps, city plans, transportation maps, and aeronautical and nautical charts.

    -- Category II, Static GIS Maps - Thematic maps produced for GIS applications for analytical or interpretive presentations. Image-based maps, for example, orthophoto maps, are also included in this category.

    -- Category III, Dynamic Interactive Presentations - Presentations produced using GeoMedia(R) WebMap, GeoMedia WebEnterprise, or IntelliWhere(TM) products.

    All entries will be judged on-site and displayed during GeoSpatial World 2002, the Intergraph GeoSpatial Users Community (IGUC) International Training and Management Conference, June 10-12 in Atlanta, Georgia. Cash prizes and complimentary registration to GeoSpatial World 2003 will be awarded to the first-place winner and first runner-up in each category.
