E-City Builds More Powerful Taxi Dispatch Product

SEATTLE, Apr 8, 2002 - E-City Software, Inc. ("E-City") (OTCBB:ECTY) announced today that it had made significant enhancements to its TaxiDispatch product, making the mobile dispatch tool much more effective and powerful for the independent taxi dispatch companies which are target customers.

CEO Anis Jessa elaborated, "We built TaxiDispatch and completed delivery as scheduled. The product was robust, stable and competitive. But our resale partner, Fog City Taxi, made suggestions for product enhancements that would greatly increase the power of TaxiDispatch and would be relatively inexpensive. One advantage to having a partner like Fog City is their close relationship to and intimate knowledge of the independent dispatch market. We are excited about how the enhanced product will perform for our customers."

The more powerful TaxiDispatch product will lay the foundation for the intensely visual, navigation and GPS based comprehensive automated dispatch system that E-City has scheduled for development based upon the sales success of TaxiDispatch. "We have laid out some aggressive revenue milestones for TaxiDispatch. If sales meet those milestones, we will make the investment in the next version of the product, which would build on the experience and market penetration of TaxiDispatch. We are proud of this product and believe that the enhanced version has the potential to be a product leader in this market."

CEO Anis Jessa elaborated, "We appreciate the cooperation of Fog City and their willingness to delay retail product sales until the enhancements are completed. Of course it is in our mutual best interest that they offer to their customers the best TaxiDispatch product possible. At this point, we believe that the product with the enhancements will be ready for commercial sale by June 1, 2002. As we did not wish to penalize Fog City for agreeing to delay retail sales, we have extended the period provided by their license agreement to provide for full-payment within 90 days of anticipated completion of the enhanced product. E-City has received $125,000 to date in payments from Fog City Taxi and should receive payment-in-full by September 1, 2002."

E-City Software, Inc. (OTCBB:ECTY) is a developer of interactive maps for cities around the world. E-City sells its products to customers on the basis of both annual licensing fees and revenue share arrangements. E-City distributes its products directly to its customers, through arrangements with strategic partners and through its network of distributors and value added resellers.
