Micronics Pty awarded the Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Rising Star award for Western Australia

TUSANI™ GPS manufacturer Micronics www.micronicsgps.com has been awarded the Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Rising Star award for Western Australia. The Award is given to companies that have technology and innovations that can propel small growing companies into Giant money earners for Australian Industry and are the ones to watch in next few years.

The Awards are part of the Fast 50 Technology Program. This program is global initiative to raise industry profile and provide recognition to real people in real companies striving to create wealth through innovation.

The TUSANI was judged to be the most innovative product by the Microsoft supported program and Micronics owned intellect reserve has the potential to generate billion dollar figures as each innovation is commercialised. The innovative TUSANI GPS/DGPS was created for greater GIS input/management productivity as its design allows it to be “worn” by the operator in a special fabric Vest created for the purpose. The operator is hardly aware that he is carrying a Submeter /cm Asset management tool. No batteries or cables impede the operator. Other sensors can be fused to the Vest to allow automatic recognition of previously sensed data. Productivity increases of 200% to 400% have been registered by TUSANI clients compared to traditional Backpack/Pocket handheld GPS systems. The innovative design allows a price advantage and payback unmatched by large corporations products in the meter /submeter range.

The TUSANI design philosophy allows GIS input enabled GPS equipment beyond the emerging PDA mobile wireless technology stage that is starting to emerge. Micronics is starting to release this technology to Utility, Local Government Military and Forestry/Environmental markets.
