Leica Geosystems Packages IMAGINE Essentialsr Software with GS50 and GS50+ Data Collectors

Atlanta, GA, USA- Leica Geosystems' GIS & Mapping Division has announced that it will continue to package its superior GS50 and GS50+ GPS/GIS data collection systems with IMAGINE Essentials, Leica Geosystems' powerful image and visualization software. Every customer who purchases a GS50 or GS50+ system through 31 March 2003 will receive a free copy of IMAGINE Essentials software. Customers can use IMAGINE Essentials to organize, edit and present geospatial data collected by the GS50 and GS50+ data collections systems.

The GS50 and GS50+ systems collect sub-meter to centimeter-level data in real-time. They feature MaxTrakT, Leica Geosystems' patented technology that can track GPS signals through the most challenging environments, a real-time accuracy monitor, and a field editable codelist, which allows users to customize their data collection process.

With IMAGINE Essentials, customers can combine imagery, view data quickly and easily, and create cartographic quality maps. IMAGINE Essentials' graphical image Viewer provides a basis for all interactive image and data display and processing. Within the Viewer, customers can display their GPS data, view, edit and convert images, reproduce multiple images, and more.

"We are pleased to offer our customers this unbeatable combination of products," said Richard McKay, Vice President of Sales. "This product bundle will show our customers some of the innovative GPS/GIS solutions the Division's products can offer them."

The GS50 and GS50+/IMAGINE Essentials product bundle is available now.
