PIXSELL INC. DELIVERS LANDSAT DATA VIEWER UNDER NASA CONTRACT

BAY ST. LOUIS, MS (January 31, 2002) -- PixSell Inc., today announced that the company had delivered the "US Digital LandSat Data Viewer" to NASA's Earth Science Applications Directorate (ESAD), located at the Stennis Space Center in Mississippi. This product is a four CD-ROM set, containing national (US) LandSat imagery, including Alaska and Hawaii, as well as several vector data layers such as interstate highways, state highways, and state boundaries. The CD-ROM set also includes a detailed LandSat tutorial and an easy to follow curriculum on satellite remote sensing, suitable for ages K-12. The LandSat Data Viewer product also includes NASA's popular game "Echo The Bat."

The Data Viewer product was developed under a fixed price task order from NASA under the Remote Sensing Data Services IDIQ contract. GB Tech, Inc., a small disadvantaged business based in Houston, Texas, is the prime contractor on the RSDS contract and supported PixSell's work on this task order. "This project demonstrates the value to NASA of the Remote Sensing Data Services contract vehicle," said Gale E. Burkett, Chairman and CEO of GB Tech.

"The unique capability of the US Digital LandSat Data Viewer is that it enables a PC user to view LandSat imagery without requiring any expensive, specialized remote sensing or geographic information system software," said Christopher Roberts, CEO of PixSell. "The purpose of developing the Digital LandSat Data Viewer is to make satellite remote sensing accessible to a wider audience than the scientific research community. The product is intended for use by schools and educational institutions throughout the United States." NASA plans to commence distributing the Digital LandSat Data Viewer to educational institutions in 2002.
