Powerful and Easy to Use Crime Mapping/Analysis Software

4thWatchSystems Inc. announces the launch of its new Integrated Crime Analysis Tools v 2.0 (ICAT 2.0)

Through this new Easy-to-Use Crime Mapping/Analysis software application, 4thWatchSystems has combined database connectivity and anagement functions with powerful search and query tools. I-CAT integrates the power of Crime Mapping, with advanced Data Mining Tools and Statistical Analysis functions (ie Hot Spot Mapping). I-CAT enables crime analysts to query data resident in their local Records Management System (RMS), and query data across neighboring jurisdiction RMS systems through the power of I-CAT's advanced connectivity tools, regardless of the data format. I-CAT was designed for police, by police enabling 4thWatch to create tools that are intuitive to the crime analyst. Further, those queries being conducted on a regular basis may be 'saved' to a Hot Button on the 4thWatch Switchboard which further increases the pace of crime analysis.

Crime today knows no boundaries - and neither should crime analysis. I-CAT 2.0 is unique in that it has exclusive database connectivity apabilities which give agencies the ability to share information not only within their jurisdiction but across jurisdictions in a region, county or a group of counties. What makes I-CAT 2.0 even more unique is its ability to connect to, or accept data from disparate sources, disparate applications, and in disparate formats. I-CAT 2.0 functions not only as a powerful crime analysis application but as a Hub accepting data from other analysis applications regardless of format. This ability, to manage Disparate data sets in a seamless environment is achieved through 4thWatch's proprietary Technology, the Meta Data Engine.

Data sharing is achieved by simply transferring data by disk or through an intranet/internet connection. I-CAT 2.0 achieves this goal without compromising security, privacy regulations or undermining control of those databases from their original owners. I-CAT 2.0 provides users with this security without giving up application functionality. The result? Superior crime analyses, targeted crime problem solutions, improved efficiency of use of scarce time, money and human resources.

Criminals are becoming increasingly sophisticated, budget cuts at all levels are forcing agencies to handle more case loads, with less resources, using costly, inefficient - and sometimes outdated - analysis procedures. Clearly the process can be improved. Crime analysts require tools to help them work more efficiently and together, to stay ahead of the criminal element, while complying with ongoing demands to reduce both costs and the time required to clear a case. How? Through the use of the Integrated Crime Analysis Tools (I-CAT 2.0) by 4thWatch.

4thWatchSystems invites members of the CMRC list to review ICAT 2.0, and to request a free trial version, by visiting our website at www.4thwatch.net
