General Physics Corporation Adds Geographic Information Systems Services to their Business Offerings

COLUMBIA, Md., Feb 13, 2002 - General Physics Corporation (GP) a subsidiary of GP Strategies (NYSE:GPX), now offers clients geographic information systems (GIS) and global positioning system solutions that improve the management of organizations by integrating data and procedures.

By providing spatial point-and-click access to relevant GIS data and documentation, GP can help organizations gather critical information that will streamline day-to-day operations, and assist in scientific investigation, resource management and development planning

GIS is a computer-based tool for mapping and analyzing data with spatial components. A GIS links several layers of data about a particular feature, including its spatial location, in order to increase our knowledge about the referenced features, by combining layers of the information, exploring relationships between the features and seeking patters that may not be readily apparent.

The spatial nature of a GIS distinguishes its data from other information management processes

"We are very excited about the opportunities that our GIS services bring to GP. Most organizations have need of this data, especially industrial and commercial developers, emergency dispatch personnel, police organizations, hazardous response teams, school districts, public works design and engineering and design, and city/master planning," stated Craig Harley, Director, Geo-based Services. "The information that can be gathered from this data can provide an invaluable tool for all our clients."

GP has been and is currently involved in a number of GIS activities for Arnold Air Force Base, TN, including a Raw Water Distribution Modeling Program, a Hydrocarbon Fuel Modeling Project and Storage Tank and Pressure Vessel Database Project.

For more information about our GIS/GPS capabilities please access our web page at http://www.genphysics.com/market/process/gis--gps.asp, or send E-mail to gis@genphysics.com.

GP is the principal operating subsidiary of GP Strategies Corporation (NYSE:GPX). GP is a global provider of training, management consulting and engineering services, improving the effectiveness of organizations by customizing solutions to meet the specific needs of clients.

Clients include Fortune 500 companies, manufacturing, process and energy industries, and other commercial and government customers. Additional information about GP may be found at www.gpworldwide.com.
