Microsoft showing Jammu and Kashmir as Disputed to its users in America and Europe

  • cozwecare.homestead.com/MSmap.html
Microsoft MapPoint 2002, software providing geographic information, shows whole state of Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) as 'DISPUTED' state of India. This software is extensively being used in America & Europe, and users of this software view Kashmir as a 'Disputed territory' and not an Integral part of India. This is exactly in line with Pakistan's international propaganda.

India has always objected to the use of word 'Disputed' to Kashmir. Even the United Nations does not make a mistake of using the word "DISPUTED" in J&K map. J&K is an integral part of India by the 'Instrument of Accession of Jammu and Kashmir State to India' (India's rightful position on Kashmir). In reality Pakistan was to have vacated J&K under the UN Resolution that it accepted but did not implement.

Microsoft does not have any right to grant 'Disputed' status to whole state of J&K. The only disputed territories are 'Pak Occupied Kashmir (POK)' and 'China Occupied Kashmir (COK)'.

'Cause We Care' (CWC) has initiated a signature campaign to draw Microsoft's immediate attention to this serious issue and correct this error. We urge the Indian community all over the world to register their disagreement with this map, strongly and unequivocally by signing online at CWC's following page and thus backing India's rightful position on J&K. We request Indians to act before this becomes official map of J&K !!

'Cause We Care' (CWC) is an E-Activism site devoted to cause of upholding India's national esteem. We have successfully conducted signature campaigns in the past and we hope we shall be successful in our current campaign as well.
