BOSTON, Jan 28, 2002 -- Syncline(R), Inc. today announced that it has signed a reseller agreement with LizardTech, a leading provider of software solutions and tools that make high-quality digital content easier to capture, store, share and use. Under the terms of the agreement, Syncline will be able to offer customers LizardTech's MrSID(R) Geo, enabling them to compress high-resolution images to less than five percent of their original file size without compromising image quality.

By offering MrSID Geo, Syncline provides its customers with a leading imagery technology complementary to its MapCiti Web-based mapping service. MapCiti is a fully automated, hosted solution that enables users to create and publish interactive maps over the Web, where they can be more easily accessed and shared. With MrSID Geo, MapCiti users can mosaic and compress their digital imagery in the MrSID format, an industry standard among geospatial professionals, in preparation for import into MapCiti.

"LizardTech is well known in the GIS community for its leadership and innovation in developing high-quality image technology," said Matthew Gentile, president and CEO of Syncline, Inc. "We're pleased to offer our customers LizardTech's MrSID Geo, a proven technology for helping users leverage their imagery investments."

"We are happy to provide Syncline MrSID Geo to add to their impressive set of offerings," said Bill Patterson president and CEO of LizardTech. "MrSID Geo dramatically reduces file size and provides faster access to images on the Internet, making it ideal for MapCiti users."
