NovaLIS Technologies to release Parcel Editor 8 for ArcMap, present papers, and co-host international distributors' breakfast at the ESRI International User Conference in San Diego

Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada -Parcel Editor 8 for ArcMap, the definitive parcel mapping and addressing solution for ArcGIS users, will officially be released at this year's ESRI International User Conference in San Diego, California.

"In our move to ESRI's geodatabase, Parcel Editor 8 has really helped us a lot," says Michael Dawson, GIS Technician for the City of Lee's Summit and Parcel Editor 8 beta tester.

"The ability to create workflows from scratch, customize workflows, or use pre-defined ones such as the assign centerline ranges has made things easier for us."

The upcoming major release is the culmination of years of work to produce the best combination of core functionality, customizable tools, and workflow capabilities to meet the diverse requirements of current and future ArcMap users.

"It's all about flexibility," says NovaLIS Parcel Editor Product Specialist Matt Archibald.

"Parcel Editor 8 facilitates migration to the new ESRI ArcGIS environment by providing organizations that maintain digital maps with an easy-to-use parcel mapping solution."

Within ArcMap, Parcel Editor 8 gives users comprehensive tools to perform mapping functions such as parcel splits and merges, and Coordinate Geometry (COGO) subdivision entry. Parcel Editor 8 also features new functionality for centerline and structure addressing in geodatabases.

NovaLIS will be located in booth 1737 with Leica Geosystems at the ESRI User Conference in San Diego, July 8-12, 2002. Show attendees can schedule demos of Parcel Editor 8 and NovaLIS' other integrated land records management solutions in advance by calling our toll free number, and stop by our booth to receive a 30-day trial of the parcel mapping software.

NovaLIS will be involved in a number of paper presentations at the convention. President and CEO Gary Waters will join Dean Anderson of Polk County and Steve Trammell of ESRI for the preconference seminar, "Introduction to ArcGIS for Land Records." Later in the week, Waters will present the paper, "Enterprise GIS Products for Land Records." NovaLIS client, and past president of the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO), Ed Crapo will also present a paper on the custom solution NovaLIS is building for Alachua County, Florida.

For the second year in a row, NovaLIS and Leica Geosystems are hosting the International Distributors' Breakfast. More than 100 ESRI distributors, from offices located around the world, plan to attend.
