ESRI BIS Data and ESRI's ArcReader Software Combined Into Important Reference Tool
Redlands, California—ESRI Business Information Solutions (ESRI BIS) launched its new 2002 Sourcebook•AmericaTM demographic data CD with ArcReader software at the 2002 ESRI International User Conference in San Diego, California, today. This new edition of Sourcebook•America merges ESRI BIS demographic data for every U.S. ZIP Code and county with ESRI's ArcReader map display technology.
Sourcebook•America includes detailed demographic data variables such as population, households, families, race, income, and spending potential. The addition of ArcReader software to Sourcebook•America enables users to select geographic areas and demographic data variables and quickly and easily produce thematic maps that illustrate the data.
ESRI BIS demographic sourcebooks are important reference tools found in many businesses and public libraries. ArcReader is an easy-to-use mapping application built from the same ArcObjects component technology as the ArcGIS family of products¾ArcView, ArcEditor, and ArcInfo¾that enables users to view, print, and share maps with anyone in their organization or across the Internet.
"This is the first of many exciting collaborations combining industry-standard ESRI BIS data with ESRI groundbreaking technology," says David Huffman, managing director of ESRI BIS. "The next-generation Sourcebook•America with ArcReader creates a vital reference tool that can be used extensively by companies in all industries, universities, and government agencies. Now users can produce presentation-quality standard maps for every ZIP Code and county in the United States."
Sourcebook•America with ArcReader is now available at a special introductory price of $495. Visit www.esribis.com for more information, and for Sourcebook•America demonstrations during the convention, visit the ESRI BIS kiosk at the ESRI Industry Showcase.
