GITA Announces Dates for GIS for Oil & Gas Conference and Exhibition
Conference Set for September 23-25, 2002 at the JW Marriott in Houston, Texas

March 1, 2002: Aurora, Colo.--The Geospatial Information & Technology Association (GITA), is pleased to announce the dates and location for its eleventh annual GIS for Oil & Gas Conference and Exhibition. The event is scheduled for September 23-25, 2002, at the JW Marriott Hotel in Houston, Texas. The conference is the only one of its kind, devoted exclusively to GIS applications and technologies for both the upstream and downstream aspects of the oil and gas industry.
The two-and-a-half day conference will include introductory and advanced workshops, a series of paper presentations in two concurrent tracks, and a product and services exhibition. The purpose of the conference is to introduce GIS technology applications to the oil and gas industry.
This event is expected to draw nearly 600 oil and gas industry professionals.
