R.A. Smith & Associates Will Hold Geographic Information Systems (GIS) User Discussion Forum in Central Wisconsin on December 12, 2002

    OSHKOSH, WISCONSIN — R.A. Smith & Associates, Inc. — civil engineering, surveying and technical services consultants — Oshkosh, Wisconsin, will hold a GIS (geographic information systems) user group discussion forum for GIS users in central Wisconsin on Thursday, December 12, 2002, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The village of Wrightstown will host the meeting. Directions can be obtained by calling to register.

    The speakers will be Alissa Bails, GIS division manager at R.A. Smith, and Holly Urbain of Seiler Instrument, Madison, speaking on “ArcPad and GPS (global positioning system).” Technical tip sharing with other GIS users is part of the discussion forum as well.

    There is no fee to join. The group is open to anyone with an interest in GIS (regardless of background or user platform). R.A. Smith also holds a bi-monthly user forum out of its Brookfield office. The discussion forums are a core component of the education aspect of R.A. Smith’s SuccessGIS program.
