Radius Topology reaches final of Information Management awards

Cambridge, UK, 27th November 2002. Radius Topology nominated as a finalist in the Information Management 2002 (IM2002) awards.

Laser-Scan has reached the finals of the prestigious IM2002 awards in two categories. The company's innovative Radius Topology product has been nominated for the GIS Project of the Year award as well as for the Product of the Year award.

Radius Topology is an advanced spatial processing environment, which extends the Oracle9i database and provides dramatic improvements to the speed and consistency of spatial data handling. Laser-Scan's Radius Topology works behind the scenes, automatically adding topological intelligence to data; existing Oracle spatial software and GIS applications can continue unchanged. Laser-Scan's Radius Topology brings the advantages of GIS to all users within the IT environment.

The winners of the IM2002 awards will be announced at a special ceremony dinner at London's Grosvenor House Hotel on 5th December.

Laser-Scan's Sales and Marketing Director Duncan Guthrie commented:

"We are thrilled to be in the finals of the IM2002 awards. We are extremely proud of Radius Topology and, although the product is still in its infancy, it has already earned some high-profile endorsements. We hope that we will soon be able to add IM2002 to our list of achievements"

The Information Management Awards are the premier industry recognition of excellence and innovation in the management of business information and knowledge in an e-business environment. The success criteria are the delivery of significant and definable business benefits, as well as innovation and originality.
