NEW YORK, Sep 23, 2002 - Vindigo, the leading service provider for delivering location-based content and services to wireless and
mobile devices, today announced the availability of Vindigo 2.0 for Verizon Wireless' Get It Now(SM) customers. Get It Now is offered by Verizon Wireless,
the largest wireless service provider in the U.S. and the leader in mobile data. Now, Verizon customers gain a wealth of information on where to eat, shop and
play in over 35 major U.S. metropolitan areas -- right on their mobile phone.
Vindigo 2.0 for the Get It Now service from Verizon Wireless has the same look and feel as the company's popular PDA-based application, while taking
advantage of Verizon Wireless' wireless connectivity for real-time updates and unlimited access to Vindigo content. By simply entering their current location,
Verizon Wireless customers can access extensive entertainment options, including restaurant reviews, movie reviews and show times, museum exhibits and live
music information. Vindigo 2.0 also includes detailed information about services such as locations of the closest ATMs, gas stations and copy shops. Vindigo 2.0
comes complete with ratings and reviews from brand-name content providers, full-color maps and driving directions to any listing.
"For a few extra dollars a month, Verizon Wireless customers can now take advantage of the Get It Now service to download Vindigo 2.0 and find whatever
they need -- whether it's the closest ATM or the best outdoor dining spot," said Jason Devitt, chief executive officer of Vindigo. "This is all about convenience
-- customers can easily access information about a unfamiliar city in minutes.
The days are gone of eating in a bad restaurant or getting caught without cash while traveling."
Verizon Wireless customers using Get It Now-enabled phones, including the Verizon Z-800 and Motorola T720, can select and download Vindigo 2.0 over the
air. The Vindigo subscription fee is $3.75 per month and appears on the customers' monthly mobile phone bill. Get It Now phones are available through more
than 1,200 Verizon Wireless Communications Stores, at participating Radio Shack stores or via the Web at www.verizonwireless.com.
