Award Winning Web-Based GIS Software Now Available

MADISON, WI – July 9, 2003 - Varion Systems, the software development and value-added reseller division of GeoAnalytics, Inc, today announced the release of PV.Web 2.0, the next generation of its award-winning software, at the world’s largest GIS conference held in San Diego, CA.

The 2.0 version of PV.Web provides users with extensive GIS functionality within a Web browser without any plug-in or applet. PV.Web 2.0 leverages an organization’s enterprise data by hitting it in its native format, as well as providing a custom set of tools and functionality based on user login. Different users can have access to different data sets, GIS tools, query options, and navigation tools. PV.Web 2.0 can serve all users within and outside of, an organization.

PV.Web 2.0 puts the power of real GIS in the hands of an entire organization. Built on ESRI's ArcIMS technology, Intranet users can easily navigate, browse, query, and report on both spatial and non-spatial land information. PV.Web 2.0 is a thin client that supports numerous data formats, images, and backend configurations including ESRI’s ArcSDE.

Live demonstrations and product literature for PV.Web 2.0 will be featured in the Varion Systems booth, number 423.

“We feel PV.Web 2.0 offers the best combination of functionality and cost of any competitive product on the market,” said Varion Systems President Paul Braun, “so we really look forward to demonstrating it to peers and potential clients alike at the ESRI User Conference.”
