Join your peers at the Marriott Marquis, in the heart of downtown Atlanta, to share success stories and challenges and learn from each other. URISA 2003 will provide a diverse program of technical sessions, workshops, social events, exhibits, and networking opportunities while providing a forum for highlighting best practices from around the world that improve urban and regional environments through the utilization of GIS and IT approaches and methods.

The key subject areas that will be covered in educational sessions include: e-Government; Public Health; Enterprise Operations; Transportation Systems; Public Works; Economic Development; Natural Resources; Asset Management; Homeland Security; Emergency Operations; Policy Planning; Urban and Regional Planning; Partnerships; Social, Cultural, and Environmental Planning; and other Hot Topic Areas.

..and an important follow-up session to URISA's Summit on promoting national data partnerships and collaboration!

URISA's Certified Workshops have long been considered some of the best real world and practical learning experience for attendees. And over the past year, URISA Workshops have been substantially updated and improved. Attendance at one preconference workshop is included with full registration. Be sure to take advantage of this comprehensive educational opportunity in Atlanta.

Another highlight of the conference will be the introduction of the first class of Certified GIS Professionals! Ample opportunity will be available to find out the details of the program and get yourself ready to apply for certification at the end of this year.
