(Old Town, Maine--3 December 2003) National GIS firm James W. Sewall Company announced today that the General Services Administration (GSA) has awarded the company a five-year Federal Supply Schedule contract for environmental and engineering services (#GS-00F-0012P). Based on a rigorous vendor qualification process, the award enables federal government agencies to procure Sewall services directly at competitive, pre-negotiated rates, bypassing the traditional and often lengthy RFP procedure. Under the terms of two federal schedules (SIN C F999; SIN C R425), Sewall is pre-qualified to provide agencies with a broad range of services, including GIS consulting and spatial data development, environmental assessment and emergency preparedness planning, and engineering concept development, requirements analysis, and system design.
Sewall President and Chief Executive Officer Dr. James H. Page views the award as "a significant step forward in our effort to develop productive, long-term relationships with federal agencies. The FSS contract provides our existing clients with a flexible, streamlined vehicle to purchase our services at very reasonable cost. For new clients, our pre-qualified status ensures a standard of performance and pricing in advance of their need for services. Our partnership with the GSA, based on excellent service at the best value, promises to bring mutual benefits to all parties involved."
