Printer Friendly versionPrinter Friendly

Goldsboro, NC - The City of St. Helens, Oregon has awarded Geographic Technologies Group, Inc., (GTG) a contract for development of a GIS enterprise strategic Implementation plan. The project includes:

(1) An enterprise level needs assessment that involves a review of existing and potential departmental GIS use, (2) A conceptual system design for information technology infrastructure, data management, and workflows, and, (3) A strategic plan that is based on the conceptual design with action strategies for proposed implementation. The project will focus on identifying strategies for improving city business processes using GIS technology. The GIS enterprise strategic plan will focus on the true and quantifiable Return on Investment (ROI) of GIS based technology.

Andres Ferrate, Project Manager and Regional Manager for GTG’s Portland, Oregon office, said that “this project will allow GTG to work closely with the City of St. Helens to continue to assess and develop a strategy for efficient and effective implementation of GIS and its related technologies.” A key and vital component of the City’s GIS implementation will be leveraging existing technology investments, such as the City’s Sprinbrook Financial and Utility Billing system. As a business partner with Springbrook, GTG provides an added benefit based on its understanding for integration of such key systems into the City’s GIS.
