Galdos Systems Inc, InCom Korea Deliver Traffic Information Solution to Korea Telecom
Printer Friendly versionPrinter Friendly

Vancouver, Canada/Seoul, Korea – Galdos Systems Inc and InCom Korea today announced the delivery of an open standards based traffic information system. InCom Korea and Galdos Systems will be delivering to Korea Telecom a standards based solution enabling the real time delivery of routing and traffic information to customers through cell phones and PDAs. Basing solutions around widely accepted standards, in particular GML, enables providers to quickly and cost effectively both extend and enhance their offerings through alliances with data providers. These alliances can easily leverage and incorporate this shared information into larger packages being delivered to their customers. This location-based service (LBS) achieves such capabilities by building on Galdos’ leading edge product, Cartalinea, a Web Feature Service product, and FreeStyler, Galdos’ Feature Portrayal Service product.

InCom Korea has integrated Galdos products with their own to deliver a comprehensive traffic information solution. “The incorporation of open standards into this LBS solution will carry Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) to the next level, and transform the vision of an easily extensible (LBS) world into reality” Galdos Systems’ CEO, Ron Lake, said. Mr. Hyokeun Lee, CEO of InCom Korea added, “by delivering this complete solution, we can better serve our Korean customers, and, in partnership with Galdos Systems, expand the range of standard’s based web services to include real time delivery of geospatial information via cell phones and PDAs.”
