Pictometry and Mobile Video Form Business Alliance
Printer Friendly versionPrinter Friendly

ROCHESTER, NY and KANSAS CITY, MO - February 1, 2005 - Pictometry International Corp., provider of a patented information system that captures georeferenced, digital aerial oblique and orthogonal images as well as related software, and Mobile Video Services, Inc. (Mobile Video), a leading provider of field data verification services, address matching, and street-view imaging, announced today the firms have entered into a business alliance. Under terms of the agreement, the two companies will promote their combined product offerings where Pictometry imaging solutions and software will be incorporated as part of Mobile Video's field operations to provide aerial views of the entire property while the street-view, ground-level shot is captured, the property is appraised, and the address data is verified.

Pictometry's industry leading software enables users to quickly and easily access up to 12 different high-resolution views of any property, building, highway, landmark, or other feature in a county. The software also enables end users to obtain measurements directly from the imagery as well as insert GIS content and other data.

Mobile Video recently completed a project in Washington DC for the Office of Tax and Revenue, where appraisal and GIS data were verified as part of an Appraisal Data Verification Plus (ADV+) project conducted in conjunction with Manatron, Inc. Mobile Video was able to send verification crews into the field with all of the District's CAMA & GIS files, including Pictometry imagery. Mobile Video president, Marlene Jeffers, was pleased with the outcome, stating, "The inclusion of the Pictometry imagery with our street-level imaging and data verification services really provided the District with the best possible deliverables from a data collection project."

"We are very pleased to be working with Mobile Video Services," said Dante Pennacchia, senior vice president of Sales and Marketing at Pictometry. "Our combined product offering provides assessors and appraisers with a comprehensive solution that helps determine and support more accurate property valuations."
