IONIC Awarded First GSA Schedule Contract to Provide OGC Compliant Products
Printer Friendly versionPrinter Friendly

IONIC has been awarded a GSA IT schedule contract to make IONIC’s Open Geospatial (OGC) compliant “RedSpider” products available to US federal and other agencies that use the GSA schedule. The GSA Schedules are the premiere buying tool for the U.S. Government, the largest customer in the world. This contract will simplify and speed acquisition and payment processes as well as decrease red-tape bureaucracy for buyers looking to implement OGC standards-based solutions.

Now available under the GSA Schedule is the entire IONIC RedSpider product line, including RedSpider Web, RedSpider Studio, RedSpider Catalog, and RedSpider Enterprise. Together, these products implement the entire OGC architecture more completely than any other product line. They include server, client, and development API (in Java) capabilities for the entire OGC specification baseline, including Web Map Service (WMS), Style Layer Descriptor (SLD), Web Feature Service (WFS-T), Web Coverage Service (WCS), Catalog (CS-W2/WRS), Web Terrain Service (WTS), Web Map Context, ISO 19115/19139 metadata, and more.

Making OGC compliance available through in a shrink-wrapped product that can be purchased off the GSA schedule brings the power of standards-based, geospatial interoperability within easy reach of government agencies and enterprises.

Noted Christopher Tucker, President/CEO of IONIC Enterprise: “Enabling the U.S. government to become the world’s largest and most effective ‘interoperable geospatial community’ has long been a goal for IONIC. This GSA schedule award will bring that goal closer to reality, as the authoritative data stewards within each agency will have an easy means to obtain the scalable, standards-based tools IONIC provides.”

How do I order from the IONIC Federal GSA Schedule?
To place an order, please contact Ken Bossung at (703) 535-5973, or email IONIC at
