GTG Announces Promotion of Andres Ferrate

Goldsboro, North Carolina—July 13, 2005—Geographic Technologies Group, Inc.
(GTG), a leading provider of professional GIS services and software for local
government, announced today the promotion of Andres Ferrate from Regional Manager
to Vice President of Business Operations. Mr. Ferrate previously served as Regional
Manager for GTG’s Portland, Oregon office. He will continue to be based in the
Portland office.
In this new position, Mr. Ferrate will coordinate many of the company’s strategic and
tactical operations while continuing to grow and expand GTG’s business presence in the
West. Since its inception, GTG has experienced steady growth and development as a full
service GIS company that provides professional services and a full suite of GIS software.

Mr. Ferrate will be tasked with continuing to build successful client relationships and

Regional Manager,” said Mr. Ferrate. “It is an excellent opportunity to contribute to our
