NEW ORLEANS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 14, 2005--Networks In Motion(TM), a software solutions provider for mobile workforce management and location-based services (LBS), was named a semi-finalist in the gaming/location based imaging solution category for the Second Annual Global LBS Challenge presented by NAVTEQ. The winner of the Wireless LBS Challenge will be announced on Tuesday, March 15th at 3:00 p.m. in Room 283-285 of the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. The Global LBS Challenge is being held in conjunction with the CTIA WIRELESS 2005 conference.

Networks In Motion will also preview AtlasBook(TM) and PhotoFinder(TM), its next-generation, wireless, GPS-enabled software solutions in the NAVTEQ partner pavilion located in the NAVTEQ booth #1867, Hall B of the Morial Center from March 14-16.

"After winning the inaugural LBS Challenge, being recognized again as a semi-finalist is a tremendous honor for us and validates the continuing commitment the company has made to developing leading-edge standards-based solutions," said Doug Antone, president and CEO of Networks In Motion. "Our software solutions for GPS-enabled cell phones leverage the functionality of the wireless network and will form a platform for driving demand for location and context based real-time data requests by subscribers. Location awareness will be the key driver of consumers' use of the vast information available to them wirelessly."

"Networks In Motion's innovative solutions leverage NAVTEQ maps to bring advanced LBS services to cell phone users in North America," said Winston Guillory, the Senior Vice President of North American Sales for NAVTEQ. "With solutions like AtlasBook and PhotoFinder, mobile consumers will soon begin to experience the broad range of services and utility possible through LBS solutions."

AtlasBook utilizes a cell phone's built-in GPS technology to deliver a full suite of tools including real-time turn-by-turn directions, full-color, high-quality maps of the user's location, and Yellow Pages to search for places nearby. Users can logon to the AtlasBook Web site and store favorite places and trips that they can later retrieve from their phone. These features work together to simplify travel planning, save time on the road and make mobile life more productive. AtlasBook transforms a cell phone into a personal travel guide.

PhotoFinder is a simple way to keep track of photos taken with a cell phone's camera; a Mobile Photo Journal. Easily manage photos containing location tags, view them on a map, send to another phone or website along with navigation to spot picture was taken.

Both AtlasBook and PhotoFinder incorporate digital map data from NAVTEQ, a leading global provider of digital maps for vehicle navigation and location-based solutions. NAVTEQ(TM) maps are infused with more than 160 road network attributes such as turn restrictions, one-way streets and street signs, key information points that make travel from one point to another easier and more efficient for the user. The company's proprietary collection process involves driving the roads in order to update and verify information, resulting in highly accurate maps that reflect the 'reality' of the roads.

The AtlasBook and PhotoFinder GPS-enabled wireless location-based software solutions from Networks In Motion are planned for release later this year.
