Stennis Space Center, MS – The Enterprise for Innovative Geospatial Solutions (EIGS) is proud to announce that member company, NVision Solutions, Inc. was selected as the ESRI New Partner of the Year at ESRI’s 2005 Worldwide Business Partner Conference in Palm Springs, February 13, 2005. This award recognizes ESRI (Environmental Systems Research Institute) Business Partners who have achieved strong sales, brought an innovative product to the market and expanded ESRI’s product growth in distinguished areas. There are currently more than 1,100 ESRI business partners. ESRI President Jack Dangermond presented the Award to NVision Solution’s Executive Vice Presidents Craig Harvey and Don Peyton.

“NVision is honored to receive this recognition from an industry leader such as ESRI,” stated Socorro Harvey, President of NVision Solutions. “Being an ESRI Business Partner has helped us expand existing business and create new markets, as well as increase end user knowledge in the use of GIS software.”

In addition to being an active ESRI reseller, NVision developed and deployed the Real-time Emergency Action Coordination Tool (REACT), built on ESRI's ArcGIS, ArcSDE, and ArcIMS, to help emergency management officials and first-responders prepare for, manage, and recover from crisis situations such as hurricanes, terrorist threats, or any other public safety emergency. NVision also developed a robust tracking system capable of mapping and querying up-to-the-second position information in ESRI's ArcIMS for vehicles, marine vessels, and aircraft tracked via GPS transponder or passive radar.

The New Partner Award is NVision's second award from ESRI. The NVision Team also received the 2002 Special Achievement in GIS Award for work on a Mississippi geospatial data portal.

Founded in 1969, ESRI (www.esri.com) is the world leader in the GIS software industry. ESRI offers innovative solutions that help users create, manage, analyze, and display information to make timely decisions and solve problems they encounter every day. ESRI's comprehensive product line ranges from desktop GIS to GIS for the enterprise.

“It is a pleasure for me to see NVision Solutions receive the recognition they so justly deserve,” said Robin Buchannon, Executive Director for the Enterprise for Innovative Geospatial Solutions. “From a start-up company two years ago, NVision has quickly established themselves as a leader in this industry. In 2003, another EIGS member company, Digital Quest, Inc. was selected as ESRI New Partner of the Year. These companies are the reason why people look to Mississippi for leading-edge geospatial products and innovation.”
