GuardianLion.com Emerges #1 To Market With GPS Child Security Device
Printer Friendly versionPrinter Friendly

Tampa, Florida - May 5, 2005 - GuardianLion.com confirms that it is to begin selling the first-ever off-the-shelf GPS panic button device for children to carry in the USA.

What parent is not concerned with all of the recent child abductions and sex predators in the local and national media lately? It is the goal of GuardianLion.com to help safeguard children with this new, advanced, wearable technology.

A concerned parent may now arm their child with the new gps panic button device GuardianLion.com is calling the Amber Alarm SM in honor of the well known Amber Alert system. “The Amber Alert system is a wonderful tool to disseminate information of a lost child quickly and effectively across the country. The Amber Alarm SM is simply the most pro-active means to remotely locate any child in distress, who is wearing one of these potentially life saving devices.”, says CEO/Founder Jason Sullivan of Tampa Bay, Florida.

Jason Sullivan made national news when he developed a proto-type of the world’s first gps, selective panic button device for children to wear back in 2001. Since then the technology has undergone intense development with scrutiny by ISO (International Standardization Organization), the world’s largest and most respected watch-group for international product standards.

Any child can wear this potentially life saving device on their way to and from school, or even while at play in their own neighborhoods. GuardianLion.com believes that this is simply the best means for parents/grandparents/caregivers to provide remote security for their loved ones.

This is an advanced, emergency gps locator with indoor tracking capability, not to be confused with any other similar, conventional gps device that requires a clear line of sight with orbiting gps satellites. GuardianLion’s Amber Alarm SM utilizes Sirf Tm gps technology, the industries leading gps receiver manufacturer. GuardianLion’s Amber Alarm SM continues to receive strong signals inside of vehicles or even throughout a city’s labyrinth of tall buildings.

The press of a panic button will automatically relay the user’s location information (longitude–latitude) immediately to local 911 services.

A featured service called “geo-fencing” can also be used to program an invisible parameter around the child's school walking route or neighborhood safe playing area. Removal of the child from any of these designated zones would automatically trigger a silent alert and location information would be sent immediately to 911 services. Geo-fencing areas can be updated at any time by the parent or guardian.

Amber Alarm is currently a $350 investment with a $39.99 monthly service charge. (Less than a cup of café latte a day.)

For those concerned about the Amber Alarm SM being removed by a perpetrator, a locking safety-belt is also available. The locking safety-belt in worn comfortably and can not be removed over the child’s head or down over the pants.
