Varion Systems Completes PV.Web Public Deployment and 2.1 Upgrade For The City of La Crosse, WI

CHICAGO, IL – September 02, 2005 - Varion Systems, the software development and value-added reseller division of GeoAnalytics, has completed an upgrade and public deployment of PV.Web for the City of La Crosse, Wisconsin. Through the City’s website, La Crosse residents can now view City data and mapping functionality via PV.Web.
PV.Web 2.1 puts the power of real GIS in the hands of an entire organization, its constituents, and its neighboring communities. Built on ESRI's ArcIMS technology, anyone with a Web browser can easily navigate, browse, query, and report on both spatial and non-spatial land information. Since 2002 the City has served PV.Web up to staff via its Intranet. The Internet deployment is a significant service the City can now offer its residents. “We’ve received very positive feedback from our residents and businesses since deploying PV.Web on our website,” said Adryan Slaght, Senior Planner for the City.
