Portland, Oregon – Geographic Technologies Group, Inc. (GTG) announced today that Kings County,
California has procured additional products from GTG’s LookingGlass GIS software suite. The County will
be implementing additional licenses of LGdispatch. This application will serve to expand the County’s
existing LookingGlass platform, which already includes LGdispatch and LGfires. LGdispatch is a Computer
Aided Dispatch (CAD) mapping interface that provides E-911 dispatchers with an interactive map displaying
the location of all emergency calls.
As an HTE business partner, GTG provides several LookingGlass (LG) products that provide a GIS interface
for many of HTE’s land and public safety modules. The County’s expansion of its LGdispatch platform is a
huge step in leveraging existing technology investments for use with GIS software. The County has proven
that GIS applications can be implemented quickly and effectively as a unifying technology.
Curt Hinton, CEO for Geographic Technologies Group, said that “Kings County is a leading example of how
local government organizations can leverage existing investments in order to maximize productivity and
improve public services. We are excited to be able to provide additional software to the County, and we look
forward to assisting the County in its GIS implementation.”
