Early Registration Deadline Approaching for GITA’s 15th GIS for Oil & Gas Conference

Aurora, Colo., August 21, 2006 — The Geospatial Information & Technology Association (GITA) announced today that the deadline for taking advantage of early registration discounts for its GIS for Oil & Gas Conference is this Friday, Aug. 25, 2006.
The 15th Annual GIS for Oil & Gas Conference is set for Sept. 18-20, 2006, at the JW Marriott Hotel in Houston, Texas. Attendees who register for the conference by Friday, August 25, can save $100 on full-conference registration; early registration discounts are also available for the four pre-conference seminars taking place on Monday, Sept. 18.
GITA also announced that with four weeks before the event, the conference’s exhibition is headed for a third consecutive sellout of booth spaces on the floor. Only nine booth spaces remain available for the exhibition, which will feature the latest innovations in geospatial software, hardware, and services for the oil and gas industry.
The only event of its kind, GITA’s GIS for Oil & Gas Conference includes a newly expanded series of nearly 25 paper presentations organized into two concurrent tracks, panel discussions, the exhibition hall, four in-depth preconference seminars, and numerous networking opportunities all developed expressly for professionals in the oil and gas industry.
The JW Marriott Hotel is offering special conference rates for attendees. United Airlines, the official airline of the conference, and Avis, the official automobile rental agency for the conference, are each offering attendees special rates as well.
