Aurora, Colo., Aug. 30, 2006 — The Geospatial Information & Technology Association (GITA) announced today that only six booth spaces remain on the exhibit floor for its 15th Annual GIS for Oil & Gas Conference and Exhibition. The floor is 93 percent sold out with just under three weeks before the event—keeping pace with the completely sold-out exhibition floor of the previous year’s conference.
Set for Sept. 18-20, 2006, at the JW Marriott Hotel in Houston, Texas, the GIS for Oil & Gas Conference and Exhibition is the only event of its kind, devoted exclusively to GIS applications and technologies for both the upstream and downstream aspects of the oil and gas industry.
“This exhibit floor will be busting at the seams with experts who are ready to show oil and gas professionals the very latest in GIS technologies,” said Conference Chair Dwayne Cobbs, Panhandle Energy. “In just three days, you can get a months’ worth of work done by walking through the these exhibits.”
The conference will also include four half-day seminars, a series of paper presentations, power panels, and a user forum. The full conference schedule is available at http://www.gita.org/events/oil_gas/06/schedule.htm.
Online registration for the event will close on Sept. 12 at 5 p.m. CDT. Companies interested in exhibiting at the conference can find more information at GITA’s Web site, www.gita.org/oilgas.
